A causal link between autoantibodies and neurological symptoms in long COVID - 28 May 2026
Passive transfer of IgG from individuals with LC into mice induced fatigue-like behaviour, loss of balance/coordination, thermal hyperalgesia, small fiber nerve damage, and increased pain-related neuronal activity, recapitulating patients' symptoms. These findings suggest that targeting AABs might offer therapeutic benefits for this LC subgroup.
On Friday May 22nd PolyBio held an online Symposium where PolyBio-supported researchers and collaborators presented updates on their projects.
Scientific Conference centred on the latest research on disease mechanisms and treatments for ME/CFS (myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome) and Long COVID/post-COVID syndrome. The two-day hybrid event on 7 and 8 May 2026 was directed at medical professionals, researchers and interdisciplinary experts in the fields of medicine and biology.
